Iowa State football's Breece Hall sets NCAA record for most consecutive games with a rushing touchdown

Breece Hall's career at Iowa State has been filled with electrifying performances, but perhaps the most notable achievement came during Saturday's 2021 regular-season finale against TCU.

The junior All-American running back dashed for a 39-yard touchdown in the second quarter to give Iowa State a 17-0 lead, but it meant more than just six points on the scoreboard.

Hall's touchdown marked his 24th game in a row with a rushing touchdown, breaking a long-standing college football record dating back to Arkansas' Bill Burnett (1968-70).

Hall, who finished sixth in Heisman Trophy voting in 2020, has scored a touchdown in every game both this season and last. The last time he was held out of the end zone was in the 2019 Camping World Bowl against Notre Dame.

Hall shared an emotional moment with Iowa State coach Matt Campbell once he returned to the sidelines as a college football record-holder, and managed to find his family in the crowd as well.
