New iPhone 6 case photos reaffirm big redesign, show relocated power button

Apple appears to take the most aggressive stance when it comes to secrecy and keeping information surrounding its unreleased products out of the public’s eye. Needless to say, it’s all for naught when your production partners are gigantic Eastern manufacturing giants with tens or even hundreds of thousands of workers. As such, Apple products tend to leak even more than devices made by rival companies, especially since the interest level in Apple products is always so high. And now, the leaks involving Apple’s iPhone 6 have kicked into high gear.

A big report from an industry insider with a remarkably solid track record covered all of the key points when it comes to the broad-stroke details surrounding Apple’s upcoming new iPhone 6 and the iPhone phablet. Basically, we’re looking bigger screens with incremental specification upgrades and, according to the report, NFC.

What we do not yet know, however, is what these redesigned iPhones will look like.

We’ve seen some leaked schematics and iPhone 6 renders based on those schematics, and we also saw what was claimed to be the front panel from the new iPhone leak. The iPhone 6 picture gets a bit clearer with each new leak, and now we can toss another one on top of the pile.

French blog Nowwhereelse.fr is known to scour the internet and dig up photos of various iPhone parts and accessories. The site’s latest find is a cache of images that seemingly shows plastic cases for the upcoming iPhone 6 that were built using what are believed to be accurate leaked design schematics for the device.

If the cases do represent reality, they reaffirm the big redesign we’ve been expecting. They also support earlier claims that the power button on the iPhone 6 has been moved so it can be reached more easily on a larger phone.

Several images can be found below and the rest can be seen by following the link in our source section.
