Irina's Steak & Seafood is now open in West Des Moines.
The upscale Russian-American steakhouse is the sister restaurant to Irina's Restaurant & Bar in Urbandale, headed by Irina Khartchenko and her husband Dmitry Iakovlev.
Irina's Steak & Seafood takes over Unit 100 in West Glen Town Center at 650 S. Prairie View Drive that formerly housed Bonefish Grill, a seafood chain restaurant that closed in 2021.
The co-owners said they spent the last four months on a complete renovation of the restaurant to give the space an elevated, high-end feel.
Khartchenko said the second Irina's location will serve popular dishes from the original Urbandale location's menu but will also offer its own unique dishes. Diners can find popular dishes such as a bang bang shrimp appetizer and salmon au poivre, a tender salmon filet coated in peppercorns with a cognac cream reduction, asparagus and lobster sweet potatoes.
New dishes include a horseradish-encrusted 16-ounce New York prime steak with whipped buttermilk potatoes.
Irina's iconic spirits menu that includes more than 100 varieties of vodka is available at both locations.
While the restaurant is now open, the couple say they are still hiring for all positions.
Address: 650 S. Prairie View Drive Unit 100, West Des Moines.
Hours: Open Sunday through Thursday from 3 to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 3 to 10:30 p.m.
