Heart O’ the Lakes Church is holding a “Grow in Grace” women’s gardening workshop from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 15. Have fun fellowshipping with friends, planting seeds and learning more about gardening with resident garden and flower expert, Kurt Klein. Light refreshments will be served. Cambridge Junction Historic State Park is holding an education and volunteer event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 20. Learn more about the history of the park, experience activities and learn about volunteer opportunities during the summer months. Lunch and beverages will be provided. Join the Irish Hills Regional Chamber for a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. Friday, April 14, for Come to Your Effin’ Senses at 124 S. Main St. in Brooklyn. Stop in for their grand opening from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and check out their entire selection of candles, wax melts, Effin’ gear, stickers and scrubs along with products from artists near and far. There will be door prizes, treats, giveaways and more.

Re/Max Mid-Michigan/Brooklyn is holding its shredding day event from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, April 21, at 131 N. Main St. in Brooklyn. Just bring a nonperishable food item or a donation to the Brooklyn Food Pantry to shred your documents.
