'The Irishman,' 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' dominate Critics' Choice Awards nominations

Martin Scorsese's Netflix triumph “The Irishman” leads the film field with 14 nominations at the 25th annual Critics' Choice Awards, including best picture and director.

The mob drama's A-list stars are also up for top honors: Robert De Niro is nominated for best actor, while Al Pacino and Joe Pesci are competing for supporting actor.

Quentin Tarantino's “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” was close behind with 12 nominations, including acting nominations for stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, followed by Greta Gerwig's “Little Women” update with nine; WWI thriller “1917” and divorce drama “Marriage Story” with eight; and “Jojo Rabbit,” “Joker” and “Parasite” with seven each.

Co-stars Laura Dern and Scarlett Johansson each could take home two trophies: Both are nominated for “Marriage Story,” while Dern is also nominated for “Big Little Lies” and Johansson received another nomination for “Jojo Rabbit.”

Netflix earned 61 nominations across its series and films. HBO received 33 nominations, followed by Amazon with 14 and NBC with 12.

The awards will be given out Jan. 12 on CW.
