Socorro to host history conference
The city of Socorro will host a Bi-National History Conference Friday, Sept. 9 and Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Rio Vista Community Center, 901 N. Rio Vista Road. The event is from 4 to 11 p.m., Friday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, will include history, culture, art, food, wine, beer and live entertainment. Free.
Cristian Castro and Mijares
Mexican singers Cristian Castro and Manuel Mijares will perform together in El Paso as part of their Hits Tour 2022. The concert, promoted by L.J Productions El Paso, will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at the El Paso County Coliseum. Tickets, ranging from $50 to $250, plus fees, are available at Ticketmaster.com.
Junior Woman's Club Fall Festival
The Junior Woman's Club will have its Fall Festival with a bake sale, food in the Tea Room, and many classic items, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 at the clubhouse, 1400 N. Mesa St. Entrance fee is $3.
Iron Maiden
Rock band Iron Maiden will bring its Legacy of the Beast World Tour to El Paso with a concert starting at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Don Haskins Center. Tickets, ranging from $199 to $791, plus fees, are available via https://www.ticketmaster.com/ and the UTEP Box Office.
Sublime and Alien Ant Farm in town
The Ysleta del Sur Pueblo and Speaking Rock, proud sponsors for Utep Athletics, will celebrate UTEP pre-game party with Sublime with Rome and Alien Ant Farm Saturday, Sept. 10 at Speaking Rock Entertainment Center, 122 S. Old Pueblo Road. Free outdoor concert. Doors open at 6 p.m. 21 and over.
Cirque du Soleil
Cirque du Soleil returns with its spectacular OVO show with performances at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15-16, 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17, and 1 and 5 p.m. Sept. 18 at the UTEP Don Haskins Center. Tickets, ranging from $25 to $135, plus fees, are available via Ticketmaster.com.
