Ironworker critically injured in constrution accident at LIRR station

The MTA says contractors were constructing a pedestrian bridge when a crane came in contact with a high voltage line.

- New at 5:00, a construction worker is critically injured when a crane makes contact with a high voltage line. That female victim was part of a crew installing a footbridge at the Long Island Railroad's Minneola station. She was standing on the bridge when the crane accidentally touched the line and created an arc of electricity. Work at that site is on hold, until further notice.
