Is Netflix Hiding Its New Adam Sandler Movie?
Adam Sandler’s new movie ‘The Ridiculous 6′ was released exclusively on Netflix last week but it seems like the streaming service is starting to distance itself from the film after it received universally bad reviews.
The Western, that also stars Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, and Luke Wilson, currently has a 0% score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes with Variety calling it “a Western sendup so lazy and aimless, it barely qualifies as parody.”

The Netflix-produced cowboy comedy with a rumoured $60m budget was released by the VOD platform on 11 December and was afforded a slot in the much-coveted promotional module at the top of the Netflix log in screen. Now it seems to have dropped out of the rotating carousel completely in favour of another Netflx Original production ‘A Very Murray Christmas’.
Of course, this promotional module is powered in part by an internal algorithm which could explain why the Sandler movie has disappeared, but it also seems to have been dropped from the ‘Popular On Netflix’ and ‘Recently Added’ sections too. This is particularly strange as Netflix loves to push its in-house productions, particularly ones that cost the company so much money.
Critics aren’t the only ones who’ve given the film a kicking as Netflix users have also piled on the scorn in the reviews section too which some calling the film “offensive” and “unfunny”.
We wonder whether Netflix is starting to worry about the 4-movie deal they inked with Adam Sandler now?
