iSAFE Complete to recycle old technology for food pantry donation
May 20—June 6 is National Hunger Awareness Day, and each year, iSAFE Complete Managed Services collects outdated technology which is processed and recycled.
This year, all proceeds from the collection will go to God's Outreach and their mission to feed the hungry of Madison County.
According to a release, iSAFE will pick up any old computers and destroy data according to HIPAA NIST or PCI guidelines.
This benefits those that donate because they can securely destroy sensitive data, free up space in their offices, and recycle technological waste that goes to landfills, while also feeding the hungry in Kentucky.
iSAFE is able to recycle almost all computer components such as towers, servers, memory, laptops, mobile phones and tablets. However, the company noted it is unable to recycle computer monitors or printers.
iSAFE's annual donation drive has previously donated enough outdated tech to allow God's Outreach to provide $24,000 worth of food to the hungry of central and eastern Kentucky.
