Actor Isiah Washington, who was fired from “Grey’s Anatomy” in 2007 after he allegedly used a homophobic slur on-set, attacked his former co-star Katherine Heigl in a series of tweets on Monday.

Washington plastered a picture of Heigl on his account and wrote: “This woman once proclaimed that I should ‘never’ be allowed to speak publicly again.”

Responding to a post declaring that Heigl, 41, is one of Hollywood’s “most disliked” people, Washington agreed. “Facts,” he wrote. In another tweet he described her as “Nobody of real importance.”

A spokesperson for Heigl declined to comment on the record.

Washington, 57, seemed to be picking at old wounds inflicted by a 2007 interview in which Heigl told “Access Hollywood” that he “needs to just not speak in public. Period.”

But it wasn’t clear what triggered Washington’s outburst this week.

Washington played Dr. Preston Burke on “Grey’s Anatomy.” Heigl played Dr. Izzie Stevens.
