Warm temperatures Sunday evening, storms develop after dry start to Monday

It will be a warm evening with a few isolated showers or storms in spots.

Smoke from wildfires will increase tonight and will linger through Monday before pushing out the area late Tuesday. A Code Orange Air Quality Alert will be in effect for our area starting tonight at midnight tonight and will run through midnight Monday night.

Code Orange Air Quality is a level that the air unhealthy for some groups such as people with heart/lung disease, asthma, and older adults and children should limit outdoor activity.

Monday will start dry, but scattered showers and storms are expected to develop in the afternoon and continue through the evening. A few storms may become severe. Storms Monday will produce downpours that will reduce visibility and lightning along with the potential for damaging winds and hail. Remember when thunder roars move indoors.
