Details: The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have reported that an airstrike on the Gaza Strip has killed Mustafa Dalloul, the commander of Hamas' Sabra-Tel al-Hawa battalion.

The IDF said Dalloul "took a key role in the management of the fighting against IDF forces in the Gaza Strip".

The IDF separately pointed out that Israeli fighter jets, attack helicopters and artillery led by the Nahal Brigade infantry struck and killed several Hamas terrorists during night operations in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, soldiers from Israel's 551st Brigade discovered weapons (assault rifles, submachine guns, grenades, explosive devices, RPGs [Soviet-era rocket-propelled grenade launchers] and ammunition), as well as intelligence materials such as maps and communications equipment during searches in Beit Hanoun in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
