Israeli forces strike Syria's military infrastructure
Israel Defence Forces (IDF) fighter jets have attacked military infrastructure and mortar sites belonging to the Syrian army.

Details: The IDF stated that the attack was a retaliatory measure to the projectiles launched towards Israel on Tuesday.
Background:
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalated on 7 October when Hamas attacked Israel with rockets.
On the same day, the militants broke through the border and attacked the Supernova electronic music festival, killing and capturing some participants.
On 9 October, Israel announced that it had regained control of all areas on the border near the Gaza Strip.
On 10 October, the Israel Defence Forces reported that they had spotted several projectile launches from Syria into Israel.
Israel is currently planning a ground offensive against the Gaza Strip that may take three months.
