Israeli girl makes a splash with her pet snake
Meet the girl who swims with her pet python
(SOUNDBITE) (English) EIGHT-YEAR-OLD INBAR REGEV WITH HER PET PYTHON IN THE POOL, SAYING:
"My name is Inbar, I like to swim with my snake."

The eight-year-old likes to cool off in her backyard pool
with her favorite swimming buddy
an 11-foot yellow serpent called Belle
a name inspired by Walt Disney's Beauty and the Beast
It is one of her family's many unusual pets
which they live with on an animal sanctuary
(SOUNDBITE) (English) INBAR'S MOTHER, SARIT REGEV, A PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER, SAYING:
"I see it as a very natural thing because Inbar was raised with all these animals and she was raised with the snakes. When Inbar was little she swam inside the bath with the snake and now she has grown up and the snake got bigger, so they swim together in the pool. It's very natural for us."
