Footage posted from west Gaza on October 9 showed a destroyed mosque as Israel responded to Hamas’s attacks by hitting what it said were targets linked to the group.

At least 493 people were killed in Gaza, the Palestinian Health Ministry said on Monday.

At least 700 Israelis were killed in Hamas’s attack, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
