Issa Rae Wears a Caramel Cutout Dress To Celebrate 'Insecure's Final Season

Issa Rae is celebrating the final season of Insecure in style.

The star made a glamorous entrance at the Insecure Season 5 premiere in LA Thursday night. For the series' send off, Rae donned a caramel-hued cutout dress from Rokh's Spring 2022 collection, featuring a criss-cross neckline and ostrich-feather trim on the sleeves and hem, paired with gold stiletto sandals.

She accessorized the look with large rhinestone drop earrings and wore her hair in braids with a small curly bouffant sitting atop her head.

The sexy look from the London fashion house perfectly matches Rae's fun personal style. The A Black Lady Sketch Show producer is known for her colorful red-carpet looks, courtesy of her long-time stylist and designer Jason Rembert. He told Bazaar.com that the star prefers silhouettes that are "complementary to her body" often in "yellow and jewel tones [or] African prints."

Ahead of Insecure's season 5 premiere, Rae hinted on how the final season will bring the show's overall arc to a close, in an interview The Hollywood Reporter. "We always talked about this journey that we wanted to follow from being insecure to being comfortable in your insecurities to being securely insecure," she said.

She continued, "I had been talking a lot of shit all season, like people asking me, 'Is it going to be bittersweet?' And I was like, 'More sweet than bitter!' And then literally filming myself crying on the way to set like, 'What is wrong with me?' It caught me. But I’m just happy. I’m so grateful I got to work with these amazing people, and I’m in celebration mode."
