A small portion of voters will need to go to a different polling location to cast their ballots in the Aug. 8 election.

Voters will decide on Issue 1, which would raise the threshold for amending the Ohio Constitution from 50% of the vote to 60%.

Renovations at some locations and scheduling conflicts with the summer election meant the county boards of elections had to move a handful of precincts in the Cincinnati region.

You can find your polling location on the Ohio Secretary of State's website.

On the whole, it impacts 29,000 people at 15 polling locations in Hamilton, Warren and Clermont counties. Butler County has no changes. That's 2.5% of the total number of registered voters in those four counties.

Warren County had the most, with six of its 55 polling locations moved due to a variety of issues, affecting 7% of its voters.

"This happens from time to time and is nothing out of the ordinary," Warren County Board of Elections Director Brian Sleeth wrote in an email to The Enquirer.

The reasons for the six locations varied. The Deerfield Baptist Church in Maineville sold the church forcing that precinct to move to the YMCA in Landen, according to the Warren County Board of Elections list of changes. Another church had asked the county to move the polling location.

The Towne Mall in Franklin is no longer a polling location because it "was no longer comfortable for voters and workers," the board's site stated. Those voters will now go to Towne Church a few blocks away.

Clermont County had the next highest number of changes with five polling locations moving affecting 10,000 people, also about 7% of the voters in that county.

Renovations at some locations and summer school in an Indian Hill school required Hamilton County to move four polling locations, impacting 6,500 of the 593,000 registered voters in the county. All the Hamilton County polling changes are temporary.
