IRIKA SARGENT: There's more confusion and frustration from some of you trying to get a second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This time, the problems are in the western suburbs. People telling CBS2 they logged onto Kane County's vaccine website this morning only to find no available appointments at the Batavia mass vaccination site. Officials told them to book the second shot today with the special code. And after we called, the health department says the issue is fixed and people can now book slots.

MICHAEL ISAACSON: What we didn't anticipate was that they would be checking in first thing in the morning. And I anticipate, from here on out, anytime anybody gets their first dose, they can use that code to go ahead and make their second-dose appointment.

IRIKA SARGENT: Today was the first time patients could schedule a second dose at the site on Randall Road. We checked the website for ourselves, and everything seems to be working. So far, since opening in March, they have given out around 20,000 doses.
