Italian police find cocaine among ‘Equalizer 3′ crew, raid hotels

Italian police raided the hotels being used by the crew of “The Equalizer 3″ after more than 100 grams of cocaine were found.

The raid occurred in Maiori, a seaside town on the Amalfi coast, on Tuesday. That was the day after the film’s head caterer died of a heart attack, according to Italian newspaper Il Giornale. Several small bags of cocaine where found in his possession, leading to a search for more, according to Variety.

Three other caterers on the film reportedly had drugs on them. One had their driver’s license confiscated and the other two were placed under house arrest in the hotel on drug dealing charges.

“The Equalizer 3″ stars Denzel Washington and is being directed by Antoine Fuqua, who starred in and directed the first two movies in the series. It’s scheduled to hit theaters next year.
