Italian ski resort offers high-altitude vaccine
With less foreign tourists due to travel restrictions and with a surge in infections, the ski resort of Sestriere decided to offer a vaccine dose for snow lovers who want to combine protection and fun.
The town, located in Piedmont region at the border with France some 2,035 meters above sea level, gave its guests the possibility of receiving the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine or the third dose, also called the 'booster dose', for those who already had an appointment in their hometowns booked between December 30 and January 2.
