A long convoy of these howitzers was filmed several days ago at the Udinerailway station in Italy, the outlet wrote.

"Among those already at the front and those seen back in Udine, there are at least thirty tracked howitzers, while some sources speak of even double that number," wrote the paper.

A total of 60 M109L self-propelled guns have been already sent or will be sent to Ukraine, according to La Repubblica's sources.

Italy delivered the sixth package of military assistance for Ukraine in February. It included SAMP-T mobile anti-aircraft defence systems, as well as Skyguard chemical laser-based area defense systems and Spike missile systems.
