IU basketball schedules Zoom meeting with Virginia transfer Kadin Shedrick

Indiana has a Zoom meeting scheduled for Wednesday with Virginia transfer Kadin Shedrick, IndyStar has learned.

The Virginia big man, listed at 6-11, redshirted his first season at Virginia, before playing in the next three for the Cavaliers. Over that span, he averaged 6.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

Shedrick has been hearing from Kenya Hunter and Mike Woodson. IU recruited Shedrick when he was coming out of Holly Springs (N.C.) High School in the Class of 2019.

Per Joe Tipton of On3sports, Shedrick has been contacted by Kansas, Georgetown, Butler, Rutgers, Oklahoma, Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Xavier, FSU, Texas, Iowa, Kansas State.

IU’s staff has been active in the transfer portal so far. The Hoosiers recently hosted Ball State transfer Payton Sparks on an unofficial visit, according to Inside the Hall.

Through multiple reports, Indiana has also been in contact with a variety of other portal prospects, such as UIC's Jace Carter, UNC's Puff Johnson, Wyoming's Graham Ike, Towson's Nick Timberlake, Harvard's Chris Ledlum and Minnesota's Jamison Battle.
