IVC Cheerleading champions named
The third annual IVC Cheerleading Championships were held over the weekend at Indian Valley High School.
Indian Valley and Tusky Valley tied for the overall championship with 79.5 points each.
The two schared the South Division title, while Newcomerstown won the North Division crown.
The event was sponsored by Big Time Sports.
Overall results are as follows:
Overall champions: (Tie) Indian Valley and Tusky Valley 79.5 points
South Division
Champions: (TIE) Indian Valley and Tusky Valley, 79.5 points
3rd: Claymont, 77 points
4th: Ridgewood, 67 points
5th: Hiland, 57.5 points
6th Sandy Valley, 56.5 points
North Division
Champions: Newcomerstown, 76.5 points
2nd: Strasburg, 72.5 points
3rd: Malvern, 69 points
4th: Buckeye Trail, 65.5 points
5th: Conotton Valley, 59.5 points
Middle School
Champions: Indian Valley, 81 points
2nd: Claymont, 71 points
3rd: Tusky Valley, 69.5 points
4th: Strasburg, 62.5 points
5th: Malvern, 60.5 points
6th: (TIE) Hiland and Ridgewood, 55.5 points
8th: Sandy Valley, 52.5 points
