BIRMINGHAM, AL — This past week, Alabama lost a hometown legend when the family of baseball Hall of Famer Hank Aaron confirmed the famous slugger from Mobile had died Friday. Gov. Kay Ivey ordered flags to be flows at half staff in Aaron's honor.

Ivey made another public decision this past week as well, as the governor extended the mandatory mask order into March in light of Alabama's still-rising number of COVID-19 caes and its slow roll-out of the vaccine.
