J. Cole Surprises Ari Lennox During Her Final Tour Performance

After spending time on the European leg of her Age/Sex/Location tour, Dreamville singer Ari Lennox was met with a surprise appearance from her label head J. Cole.

This week, Lennox hosted two concerts at the Eventim Apollo in London.

As she was on the verge of finalizing her performance for the second night, her labelmate/boss, J. Cole, joined her.

The Off-Season rapper creeped out from backstage and caught Ari entirely off guard. Before she reached the hook for “Shea Butter Baby,” J. Cole hopped on stage to perform with her. 

As one would imagine, the fans were stoked and enamored by the precious moment.

The spontaneous cameo from Cole astounded Lennox, but most sweetly and endearingly. In a video shared on her Instagram page, Ari Lennox covers her mouth in shock as J. Cole, with a wide, loving smile, comes through to perform his verse of the song.

“I can’t believe @realcoleworld and @dreamville surprised me at my London show like this,” she captioned the post, including a video of the special moment. “I love y’all so much.”

Lennox previously stated this tour would be her last.
