J.J. Watt Sends Tweet Urging Fans to Buy Whataburger Back from Chicago Firm

Don't mess with J.J. Watt's Texas. The Houston Texans' football star has some thoughts on Texas-born Whataburger recently selling its majority ownership to BDT Capital Partners, a Chicago investment firm.

"Ok, I say we all chip in and buy Whataburger back. Make honey butter chicken biscuits available all day, add kolaches to the menu and change nothing else. Especially not the ketchup," Watt wrote, replying to a Tweet sharing the news ot the sale from Austin 360.

For those concerned that the beloved Texas-based burger chain will move its headquarters to The Windy City, fear not. In Whataburger's press release regarding the news of BDT Capital Partners acquiring a majority ownership, the company stated the headquarters will remain in San Antonio.
