Ja Morant among seven Memphis Grizzlies players out against the Miami Heat

The Memphis Grizzlies will be down a large chunk of their production on Monday night against the Miami Heat.

Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar, Desmond Bane, Ziaire Williams, Jake LaRavia and Danny Green are all out against the Heat.

Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said before the game that Morant and Konchar should be back Wednesday. The team is taking a cautious approach with Jackson on the second night of a back to back, but he's also expected to play on Wednesday. Jenkins added that Jackson "probably" won't miss one of the legs of a back to back going forward after he's sat on the second night of consecutive games in the first two chances he's had to play this season.

Williams was the only player who was listed as doubtful that saw his injury status upgraded. He doesn't have a clear return date yet, but he's getting closer and hasn't been ruled out for a return during the homestand.

Some players who haven't played much are in line for bigger roles Monday. David Roddy will get the first start of his NBA career, and fellow rookies Vince Williams Jr., Kenneth Lofton Jr. and Kennedy Chandler are all in line for more minutes.
