The Memphis Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant and Jake LaRavia against the Utah Jazz. The team announced both players are inactive due to non-Covid illnesses. They will join Jaren Jackson Jr., Ziaire Williams and Danny Green as inactive Grizzlies players.

John Konchar was listed as questionable due to shoulder soreness, but he will play after missing Thursday’s win against the Sacramento Kings.

The Jazz (4-2) will also be short-handed on the second night of a back to back. Mike Conley, Rudy Gay and Walker Kessler are out for the Jazz.

Since the Grizzlies (4-1) are missing two of the 10 players who have played 17 or more minutes per game this season, others will be counted on to step up. Xavier Tillman Sr. and rookie Kennedy Chandler are two of the players who could be in line for more playing time.

Morant is off to one of the NBA's best starts, averaging 32.6 points and 6.8 assists. LaRavia has been one of the NBA's top shooting rookies. He has shot 9 of 15 on 3-pointers this season.
