Ja Morant knows that his "fine in the West" comment about the Memphis Grizzlies will follow him the rest of the season. But he's mastered how to handle it.

When asked Saturday about Kevin Durant joining the Phoenix Suns during All-Star practice, he gave two words to NBA TV's Dennis Scott. "I'm ready."

Durant had earlier praised Morant for having the best signature shoe out at the moment. It reminded that All-Star weekend wasn't about beef or tension but love, and Morant felt the bulk of it.

Morant's media session later brought out a slew of silly questions and even better answers. Here's a taste of his best quotes from Saturday's session.

Will he change his mind on ever doing the slam dunk contest?

"I'm not doing the dunk contest." Morant has previously declined to do the dunk contest in past seasons.

"Michael Jackson, Chris Brown and Beyonce."

How much did his new grill for his mouth cost?

"$30,000." With blue diamonds displayed, even NBA TV analysts Candace Parker and Reggie Miller marveled over it at one point.

Did he love Nike's "Mount 12Skii" pop-up shop?

"It's definitely big-time. It's a credit to my work that I put in day to day. Obviously I'm thankful for Nike for believing in me and honoring me with such a special gift. It's been a process, I enjoyed every bit of it, but I'm super excited for everybody to be able to get a pair of Ja 1s."

Does he still think the Grizzlies are the most-hated NBA team?

"I don't care no more. I'm protecting my energy. I'm not replying to no more nonsense," said Morant, who has shut off comments on Twitter and limited them on his Instagram page. "I'm not trying to get no more techs this year. Not trying to get in no more altercations, none of that."

What makes Steph Curry tough to guard?

"Obviously we know him as the greatest shooter of all time, but him being able to score inside, I feel, his finishing around the rim is very underrated. Just the constant moving, he's always running, he's always moving, back-cuts coming off all types of screens. That's tough."

Who's the Grizzlies biggest trash talker?

"You're looking at him"

Which Grizzlies teammate would he like to be stranded on an island with?

"Steven Adams. I feel like everybody knows. That's my bodyguard right there"
