Ja Morant's sister Teniya Morant announces scholarship offer from Mississippi Valley State

The sister of Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant is on the radar of Mississippi Valley State women's basketball.

MVSU became the first Division I school to offer Teniya Morant a scholarship offer, according to a post on her Twitter account Monday.

"Very Thankful!" Morant, a 5-foot-3 senior point guard at Houston High School near Memphis, said in her post, which was retweeted by Ja Morant.

Teniya Morant is averaging 12.5 points per game for the Mustangs this season.

Ja Morant has emerged as one of the NBA's premier stars, averaging 27.3 points, 8.2 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game and recently unveiling his new signature Nike shoe.
