Jacinda Ardern taking on gun reform in wake of New Zealand terror attack

The calm and compassion shown by New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern in response to the massacre of 50 people in the terror attack on mosques has won her plaudits.

In the hours after the attacks, she visited grieving families in Wellington, striking all the right notes as a strong but sorrowful leader. Now she has set about reassuring the nation and wants meaningful change on the country's gun laws.
