Netflix action-comedy film “Hidden Strike,” starring Jackie Chan and John Cena, has earned a 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

What critics are saying: Critics said the “low-budget” film, which was released on Netflix on July 29, features poor-quality CGI visuals and failed attempts at humor.

“One gets the sense while watching ‘Hidden Strike’ that [director Scott] Waugh is trying to make his own ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ with the endeavor. Only instead of practical effects and real environments, the helmer deals solely with greenscreen work and CGI creations,” Blu-ray.com's review reads.

“The greatest problem is that Cena and Chan can only do so much as they navigate an otherwise hollow film that gets hopelessly lost in a CGI desert purgatory,” Collider wrote. “The poor effects only make it feel like you're having a fever dream from which you can't wake up.”

Rotten Tomatoes reviews: The film initially had five negative reviews and no audience score. But as of this writing, the film has received a single positive review, bumping it to a 17% rating. With fewer than 50 ratings, its audience score currently sits at 54%, with a 3.2 out of 5 average rating.

Netflix’s Top 10: Contrary to its poor reception, the film currently leads Netflix’s Top 10 Movies list following its recent release, beating out Netflix originals “Happiness for Beginners” and “They Cloned Tyrone.”

About the movie: “Hidden Strike,” produced by XYZ Films, is directed by Waugh, who previously directed “The Expendables 4.” The film follows ex-special forces soldiers Jackie Luo (Chan) and Chris Van Horne (Cena), who are tasked with escorting a group of oil refinery employees to safety amid an attempt by attackers to steal its oil.
