Drivers heading westbound on Interstate 70 into the mountains are experiencing significant backups due to a hazmat spill from a semi crash at Dumont.
KELLY WERTHMANN: Traffic crawled along I-70 today, but not because of early winter storm preps. Thank you for watching CBSN Denver. I'm Kelly Werthmann. Long lines of traffic in the westbound lanes were due to a hazmat spill. A semi truck jackknifed at Dumont causing that spill. Though this was not weather related, anyone looking to travel to the mountains needs to be extra careful to avoid another crash like this. CDOT is encouraging all drivers to stay at home and avoid the roads this weekend.
