Jackson State football close to naming T.C. Taylor as Deion Sanders' successor | Report

Jackson State football is close to naming T.C. Taylor, one of the most decorated players in the program's history, to be Deion Sanders' successor with the Tigers, according to FootballScoop.

Taylor, who coached wide receivers under Sanders the past three seasons, is expected to be named the Tigers' next coach, "barring any unforeseen snags."

Sanders announced Dec. 3 he was leaving JSU to take the Colorado job. While informing his players of the move, he recommended Taylor for the JSU job, following the Tigers' win over Southern in the Southwestern Athletic Conference championship game Dec. 3.
