Jackson State football lands former South Carolina, Virginia Tech quarterback Jason Brown

Jackson State football coach T.C. Taylor is wasting no time in putting his own stamp on the program. On Thursday, Jason Brown announced on his Twitter account that he was transferring to JSU to play quarterback.

Brown, who played at South Carolina and Virginia Tech, looks to replace Southwestern Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year Shedeur Sanders, who passed for over 3,732 yards with 40 touchdowns before transferring to Colorado to continue playing for his father, Deion Sanders.

Jackson State is the reigning SWAC champion after putting together a historic 12-1 season. Jackson State played in the Celebration Bowl in which they were defeated by North Carolina Central 41-34 in overtime. Afterward, Deion Sanders announced he had accepted an offer to become the coach at Colorado. Taylor was promoted to head coach 10 days later.
