The Tigers defeated their SWAC foes for the first time since 2014 last season. "College GameDay" will also be in Jackson for the first time and will air from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. CT on ESPN.
Deion Sanders and Jackson State escaped with a 22-14 victory over Campbell on Oct. 22. Aubrey Miller Jr. led the Tigers defense with 13 tackles, two for loss and a sack in the defense-heavy win. Miller earned the FedEx Ground FCS National Defensive Player of the Year for his performance against the Fighting Camels. He was also named SWAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Southern cruised to a 51-7 victory over Virginia-Lynchburg. Besean McCray led the way with 18-of-22 passing with 286 yards and two touchdowns. Jalan Campbell and Tahj Brown combined for five sacks in the blowout victory. The Jaguars finished with 12 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
