Jackson State football's Aubrey Miller, Dallas Daniels headed to senior bowl games

The world is starting to know about the plethora of talent Jackson State football coach Deion Sanders is recruiting, and two players recently accepted invites to bowl games for top NFL Draft-eligible talent.

Senior linebacker Aubrey Miller Jr. received an invite to the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Alabama, while receiver Dallas Daniels will attend the East-West Shrine Bowl in California. Both take place in February 2023, after the college football season concludes and before the 2023 NFL Draft.

Miller currently has 71 tackles (41 solo), 4.5 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, and three quarterback hits.

"Aubrey is one of the guys that we hang our hats on in the middle of the defense," Sanders said in a SWAC coaches' call. "Making calls, getting to the ball, flying around and really setting the tone and tempo, not just on game day, but in practice as well. ... He goes about his job really professional and hard. He's going out there doing what we think he should be doing."

A grad transfer from Western Illinois, Daniels has played in nine games this season and has 50 receptions for 587 yards and scored six touchdowns. In his junior season, he was selected to the Missouri Valley Football Conference Newcomer Team.

"I know what it looks like; this kid is a pro," Sanders said. "I mean, he is an NFL player. He never complains, runs routes, he can play inside, can play outside, if you get off him, he is going to route you, if you bump him, he is going to give you something at the line. He has runs after catch and he is not scared to block. He's a darn professional, he never cries about the ball."
