Jackson State has won all of its conference games by 21 points or more.

MEN'S HOOPS UPDATE: Jackson State men's basketball has played 16 games. Here's what we know.

The good news

Jackson State is leading the SWAC in points per game, points allowed per game, field goal percentage, rebounding and blocked shots.

The Lady Tigers score just under 16 points more than they give up on average.

Post player Ameshya Williams is averaging a double-double with 18.1 points and 11.5 rebounds. Reigning SWAC Player of the Year Dayzha Rogan is averaging 15 points per game on 47% shooting from the field and 37% shooting from three.

The bad news

There isn't much bad news.

The Lady Tigers are only making 4.3 3-pointers per game, which is ninth in the conference.

Outside shooting may prove important down the line, but the reason that number is so low is the Lady Tigers attempt fewer threes than most SWAC teams. Having Williams put up big numbers down low helps with that. And, when you look at 3-point percentage, JSU is tied for third with .295.

Other than 3-point shooting, JSU is near the top of the SWAC in just about every statistical categories.

The X-factor

JSU will be tough to beat if Williams can keep up her pace, leading the SWAC in points per game, rebounds per game, blocked shots per game, and field-goal percentage. The Mississippi State transfer has been dominant in conference play and has shown that she can hold her own in competition against SEC schools, narrowly missing a triple-double with an 18-point, 21-rebound, seven-block performance against Arkansas. She's currently 10th in the nation in rebounds.

Key games left

Home vs. Grambling (Jan. 29): While the JSU men's team plays Grambling in a neutral site game in Mobile, Alabama, the Lady Tigers have the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center all to themselves. JSU's rebounding advantage should be key, as they average more than 12 rebounds per game more than the Tigers.

Home vs. Southern (Jan. 31): The top-two teams in the conference meet in Jackson. Southern leads the league in turnover margin, which means it knows how to take care of the ball and force mistakes on the defensive end. The biggest test left on JSU's schedule.

At Arkansas Pine-Bluff (Feb. 7): Pine-Bluff can shoot the ball. They're second in the conference in scoring (69.1) and field-goal percentage (.387), and in the top-half in 3-point shooting percentage (.291). Guard Zaay Green is leading the conference in assists.

At Prairie View (Feb. 28): This is JSU's last road game of the regular season, and the last of three straight road games. Prairie View is giving up 74.3 points per game, so the Lady Tigers should be able to find a good offensive groove.
