KEY ACTION: Held three public hearings for rezoning requests.

DISCUSSION: The trustees approved the zoning commission’s recommendations to pass the following rezoning requests:

  • Leescrest Holdings LLC, property owner, to go from R-R Rural Residential District to R-1 Single Family Low-Density Residential of 23.2584 acres of a 32.49 acre tract at 7291 Stuhldreher St. NW. The property owner is planning to sell 57 lots for homes in the area. Two people spoke out about the proposed project.

  • Bruno Ferrante, property owner, to rezone 2.42 acres of the rear portion of parcel 10016306 on Wales Avenue NW from R-R Rural Residential District to B-3 Commercial Business District. No one spoke against the request.

  • The Jackson Township Zoning Inspector, agent for the Jackson Township Trustees, 5735 Wales Ave. NW, proposed miscellaneous text amendments concerning, but not limited to, permitted and conditionally permitted uses, mini storage, automobile, landscaping and construction vehicle storage, outdoor retail sales, vendors and definitions. This resolution was passed with light modifications made by the zoning commission. No one spoke against the request.

OTHER ACTIONS:

  • Promoted firefighter/paramedic Luke A Ediger to fire captain effective April 8. Ediger has been with the department for more than 10 years.

  • Purchased restroom lock systems from Protech Security for all the park restrooms at a cost of $24,863.

  • Purchased a skid pump for the fire department from CET Fire Pumps at a cost of $19,560.
