Here are the area’s top high school performers from Feb. 6-11. Top performers are based off the results sent in by coaches.

Daschle Egan, Croatan: Egan was fourth at 126 in the NCHSAA 3-A East Regional championships at West Carteret.

AJ Pile, Croatan: Pile was third at 182.

Cameron Sanchez, Croatan: Sanchez defeated Swansboro’s Paul Vaught 10-7 in the 106 final.

Vinnie Disbennett, Dixon: Disbennett defeated Northside’s Moises Sontay 7-6 in the 160 final to help the Bulldogs finish third in the 3-A East Regional standings.

Andrew Fucci, Dixon: Fucci was third at 126.

Joshua Kozminski, Dixon: Kozminski, pinned Swansboro’s Ayden Goodman in 3:56 to win the 120 title.

Jackson Mitcham, Dixon: Mitcham was third at 170.

Justin Root, Dixon: Root was third at 145.

Gavin Nipper, Jacksonville: Nipper was third at 120 in 3-A East.

Kamar Brown, Northside: Brown was second at 170 in 3-A East.

Marcus Cherry, Northside: Cherry was fourth at 182.

Moises Sontay, Northside: Sontay was second at 160.

Carter Duhon, Southwest: Duhon pinned South Lenoir’s Gavin Yanez in 37 seconds in the 113 final to win his second consecutive championship in the NCHSAA 2-A East Regional tournament at Ayden-Grifton.

Grayson Fountain, Southwest: Fountain was second at 220.

Logan Haffner, Southwest: Haffner was fourth at 170.

Peter Hoult, Southwest: Hoult was second at 285.

Jeremiah Jones, Southwest: Jones defeated Manteo’s Dylan Polatty via a 17-2 technical fall to win the 160 final for his second straight regional title.

Aeden Larkins, Southwest: Larkins was third at 106.

Jensen Miller, Southwest: Miller was second at 132.

Jason Rodriguez, Southwest: Rodriguez pinned North Johnston’s Jordin Moore in 1:28 to win the 182 title for his third consecutive regional crown.

Ashton Shields-Adams, Southwest: Shields-Adams was fourth at 138.

Tanner Whitehead, Southwest: The senior won the 195 title after pinning Holmes’ Gavin Pierce in 1:08.

Tyler Cowell, Swansboro: Cowell was second at 126 in 3-A East to help the Pirates finish second in the team standings.

Hyuga Doreus, Swansboro: Doreus was fourth at 285.

Ayden Goodman, Swansboro: Goodman was second at 120.

Klint Rhude, Swansboro: Rhude was fourth at 145.

Kordyn Su, Swansboro: Su was fourth at 160.

Paul Vaught, Swansboro: Vaught was second at 106.

Theodore Yager, Swansboro: Yager defeated First Flight’s Azrael Simpson 10-8 in the 152 final.

Jeffrey Owens, White Oak: Owens was second at 145 in 3-A East.

Swimming

Croatan 200 yard freestyle relay: The team of Matej Roth, Nathan Michalowicz, Paul Padgett and Ryan Simcic won the state title in 1:27.76 to help the Cougars finish fourth in the NCHSAA 3-A championships.

Croatan 200 yard medley relay: The team of Rylan Feimster, Gavin Pesko, Paul Padgett and Nathan Michalowicz was third in 1:41.44.

Croatan 400 freestyle relay: The team of Nathan Michalowicz, Rylan Feimster, Paul Padgett and Ryan Simcic was second in 3:15.24.

Madison Bowen, Croatan: The sophomore was second in the 200 freestyle in 1:52.23 and second in the 500 freestyle in 5:09.42 in the girls’ meet.

Paul Padgett, Croatan: Padgett was fifth in the 100 butterfly in 53.43.

Ryan Simcic, Croatan: Simcic was fourth in the 100 freestyle in 47.02 and fifth in the 50 freestyle in 21.72.

Friday

Boys winter track and field

Noah Guerrero, Croatan: The sophomore was sixth in the 1,000 in 2:39.36 in the NCHSAA 3-A championships at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem to help the Cougars finish second in the team standings.

Luke Nicolajsen, Croatan: The junior was third in the 500 dash in 1:06.70

Matthew Quispe, Croatan: The junior was second in the 500 dash in 1:05.60.

Cooper Stephens, Croatan: The sophomore was seventh in the 500 dash in 1:08.22.

James Wallace, Croatan: The senior was third in the 1,000 in 2:36.69.

Croatan’s 4x400 relay team: The team of Cooper Stephens, Brayden Stephens, Luke Nicolajsen and Matthew Quispe won the state title in 3:26.47.

Croatan’s 4x800 relay team: The team of Trey Austin, James Wallace, Matthew Quispe and Luke Nicolajsen won the state title in 8:12.53.

Avery Gaby, East Duplin: The senior was third in the 55 hurdles in 7.93 in the 1-A/2-A championships.

Dayzhaun Gooding-Williams, Jacksonville: The senior was fourth in the triple jump at 42-9 and sixth in the long jump at 21.2-.25.

Gabriel Urraca, Northside: The senior won the state title in the shot put at 50-6.

Dean Massaquoi, Swansboro: The sophomore was third in the triple jump and 13 th in the long jump at 20-1.

Jayson Hedgepeth, White Oak: The senior was third in the long jump at 21-3.25.

Girls winter track and field

Cailin Ames, Croatan: The junior was third in the shot put at 35-8.25 in the state 3-A championships.

Carly Gordinier, Croatan: The junior was second in the pole vault at 10-6.

Kaydence Daniels, Northside: The senior was sixth in the 55 dash in 7.41 and sixth in the long jump at 16-4.

Northside’s 4x200 relay team: The team of Kaliah Asafo-Adjei, Janiah Boyd, Julissa Stewart and Kaydence Daniels was fourth in 1:50.13.

Lisa Ferguson, Swansboro: The junior was second in the high jump at 5-4.

Delaney Horton, Swansboro: The sophomore was fourth in the 1,000 in 3:07.19.

McKenna Panos, Swansboro: The junior was fifth in the pole vault at 10-0.

Dylan Bass, Liberty Christian Academy: The senior had eight points, five assists, three steals and two rebounds in a 73-39 victory over Greenville Christian.

Tafari Martin, Liberty Christian Academy: The sophomore had 13 points, five steals, three assists and two rebounds.
