Jacksonville humane society offers free adoptions this labor day weekend

The Jacksonville Humane Society and Animal Care and Protective Services are teaming up to offer a free adoption event for the community during Labor Day weekend.

The Jacksonville Humane Society will have more pets looking for homes than ever before on Saturday, September 3!

The community is invited to come from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to find a new best friend from the largest selection of pets available all year long. In addition to pets available at the humane society, ACPS will be bringing additional dogs to be showcased for adoption.

Food trucks will also be available to guests. Adopted pets will also be going home with a variety of freebies from our generous sponsors.

“If you have been looking for a sign to adopt, this is it,” said Denise Deisler, CEO of the Jacksonville Humane Society, “We are so thankful to the Petfinder Foundation and KIA for making this event possible and we are excited to have such a large variety of pets available to our adopters.”

All pets are altered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Additional fees may apply. For more information, visit jaxhumane.org.

The free adoption event will continue Sunday at both locations and Monday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jacksonville Humane Society.
