Jacob Nur, 67, hopes to break record at Run to Feed the Hungry

Jacob Nur can't enter a race without breaking something. Namely, running records. "I'm so thankful that I'm still alive at age 67, competitively running. I get up and do 10 miles every day. Have to be thankful. I don't take things for granted," Nur said. Nur's spirit of gratitude is fueled by his childhood. He was a child soldier in the mountains of Eritrea in Eastern Africa for five years. The experience taught him to suffer but didn't rob him of his natural optimism. KCRA 3's Deirdre Fitzpatrick reports.
