Jacob Tremblay Really Put His Critics' Choice Award Next To His Millennium Falcon

Leonardo DiCaprio is getting all the attention ahead of is increasingly likely Oscar win this Sunday, but the real star of this awards season has been ‘Room’s Jacob Tremblay.

The 9-year-old actor is phenomenal in Lenny Abrahamson’s drama, and has duly been recognised for his stunning work as the son of Brie Larson’s imprisoned mother.

In mid-January Tremblay won the Best Young Actor or Actress prize at the Critics’ Choice Award and won over everyone in the audience with an adorable acceptance speech.

During that speech he said he planned to place the award right next to his toy Millennium Falcon at home, and now he’s proved that’s exactly what he did. On Instagram the future mega-star posted a picture (above) of him with the award, the Falcon and some of his other prized possessions.

Also pictured is a signed picture of Yoda, other awards he’s won for his performance in ‘Room’, a tow-truck reminiscent of the one he jumps out of in the film and in the background, artwork of Captain America.

The Rebel pilot’s helmet he’s wearing, makes it pretty clear what film series he most likes however. It’s hardly been a secret either. At the Golden Globes Tremblay had a lightsaber battle with ‘The Force Awakens’ star Oscar Isaac.

Sadly Tremblay missed out on what would have been a deserved Oscar nod, but he’ll be hopefully that Larson picks up the Best Actress prize - as she is expected to do so at the Academy Awards this Sunday, 28 February.
