ATLANTA − The Browns will be without both former No. 1 overall picks at defensive end, as Jadeveon Clowney joined Myles Garrett among the team's inactive players for Sunday's game at Atlanta.

Garrett had been officially ruled out on Saturday, but the team had not changed Clowney's game status from questionable. Neither had practiced all week as they recovered from injuries.

An ESPN report on Sunday indicated Garrett sustained a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder and a right biceps strain when his Porsche Turbo 911 S rolled over multiple times in a one-car accident Monday. The report said the expectation was that it would be injuries that lingered for two-to-four weeks, although that doesn't mean he couldn't play as early as next week at home against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Clowney has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury in the third quarter of the Sept. 18 loss to the New York Jets. He has yet to get back on the practice field since then.

Rookie Alex Wright will start for the second consecutive game in Clowney's place. Sixth-year pro Isaac Rochell, who was signed from the practice squad to the active roster prior to the Week 3 win over Pittsburgh, will start in Garrett's place.

A third defensive line starter, tackle Taven Bryan, is also inactive. Second-year pro Tommy Togiai will start in his place.

The other inactives for the Browns are quarterback Kellen Mond, receiver Michael Woods II, along with offensive tackles Joe Haeg and Chris Hubbard. Haeg had been ruled out on Friday with a concussion.

The big question among the Falcons' inactive list was whether or not the NFL's third-leading rusher, Cordarrelle Patterson, was going to be on it. Patterson has been battling a knee injury that kept him from practicing on Wednesday and Thursday.

Patterson went through a light workout inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium about two-and-a-half hours before the kickoff to test the knee out. He was ruled good to go and will be actives.
