We’ve driven our pooches in Porsche 911s, let them bask in Bentley convertibles, and put our best friends in the hatch of a Ferrari FF. But those cars aren’t ideal, especially for big dogs, as canine transport. Any roomy SUV will do, and all the better if it's a Jaguar with a diamond-quilted doggie cover and a spillproof water bowl. Those of you looking for cost-no-object holiday gifts for a pet (or its owner), you could do worse than this.

It may seem bougie as hell to spend this kind of money on a dog, but these Jaguar accessories are practical, as opposed to booking five-star doggie day care and buying Swarovski-studded collars. There's a quilted fabric liner that wraps around the back seat and the cargo walls, which are attached to a rubber mat with a detachable flap that drapes over the bumper when the tailgate is open. Compare the $439 price against what it'd cost to buff out dozens of scratches (or, worse, repaint the entire bumper). On longer trips that don't involve mud, sand, and whatever else dogs tend to track inside a clean car, it would have been welcome if Jaguar offered to swap out the floor mat for the same padded, quilted liner. Bring a thick blanket.

A $903 package also includes a metal cage partition and a rubber-soled water bowl that "redirects water towards the center" during heavy drinking. For $1302, Jaguar ditches the bowl while adding a folding ramp that can support giant dogs weighing up to 187 pounds and a portable water sprayer for cleaning dirty feet (probably yours) that can maintain pressure for two minutes-with or without using the attached hand pump. A foldable, Jaguar-branded pet carrier is also available.

The cargo liner, mats, and partitions are custom fitted for the E-Pace, F-Pace, I-Pace, or XF Sportbrake. Owners of XE and XF sedans can order a rear-seat cover that also covers up the doors and front seatbacks (and make sure to buckle up your dog in the back seat using a restraint harness). All of the parts can be purchased for your pup separately through Jaguar. Or you could ring up a fraction of the tab-because cresting $1000 is a bit absurd on a handful of basic accessories, no matter how nice-at your local pet store.
