Jaguars announce pre-sale tickets for a potential playoff game at TIAA Bank Field

Jaguars pre-sale tickets for a potential playoff contest at TIAA Bank Field will go live Thursday, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m. for season-ticket holders who haven't already opted into potential playoff tickets and Friday, Dec. 30, at 10 a.m. for the general public.

Jaguars season ticket members who have yet to opt-in to automatic playoff ticket purchasing have until end of the day on Friday, Dec. 30, to secure their regular season seats for the playoffs. Season ticket members who haven't opted or wish to purchase up to eight additional playoff seats can begin doing so on Thursday.

In the event that Jacksonville does not make the playoffs or host a playoff game, those who opted in or bought tickets will be fully refunded.

The game is set to take place the weekend of Jan. 14, with two games slated to be played on Saturday (Jan. 14), three on Sunday (Jan. 15) and one on Monday (Jan. 16) during Wild Card Weekend.

“Looking ahead at the next two weeks, we know the opportunity to host a home playoff game could come down to the last second,” said Jaguars President Mark Lamping via press release. “By going on sale this week, fans have ample time to plan and ensure TIAA Bank Field is a full teal out.”

Jacksonville is currently in first place in the AFC South as of Dec. 26, which means the team must make pre-sale tickets available on the chance they do finish first, ultimately hosting a playoff game in the first round.

The Jaguars are currently 7-8.

The league mandates teams in first place on or after Dec. 15 to be on sale for potential playoff matchups.

The date and time of the game will be determined after the regular season has concluded.

Currently, Jacksonville is slated to be the fourth seed in the AFC playoff standings if they defeat the Tennessee Titans in Week 18 at home. That game is slated to take place either Jan. 7 or 8 with the league yet to determine if the game is to be flexed into a prime time slot or not.

The league will not decide what game is flexed until the conclusion of the Week 17 matchups.

The last time the Jaguars hosted a playoff game occurred during the 2017-18 season when Jacksonville hosted the Buffalo Bills on Jan. 7, 2018. Jacksonville won 10-3 and eventually advanced to the AFC Championship game.

Jacksonville is 3-1 in home playoff contests in franchise history.
