The Lions never punted in a 40-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Detroit on Sunday.
Trevor Lawrence threw for 179 yards and a touchdown in the loss. He also left the game briefly due to a leg injury late in the first half. He returned after halftime and appeared to be OK.
“This is a playoff game for us and we go out there and lay down.”, said Lawrence.
The Jaguars are now 4-and-8 and have lost two-of-three games. They head to Tennessee to face the Titans on Sunday.
Jared Goff threw for 340 yards and two touchdowns while Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 11 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams each scored rushing TD’s as the team amassed nearly 450 yards of total offense.
More Trevor post game: “it’s embarrassing what we put out there. This is a playoff game for us and we go out there and lay down. Didn’t execute. It’s embarrassing coming off big win. That can’t happen. We have to make decision to get back on track. I still believe in this team.”

Trevor says this is first time he’s felt embarrassed this season with performance. Essentially calls it a crossroads for entire team. @ActionSportsJax @ESPN690Jax
