Weather: 78 degrees at the start, 84 degrees when practice finished.

Duration: One hour, 33 minutes, small should pads, helmets and shorts.

Injuries: Lower temperatures and a shorter practice resulted in fewer players having to make a trip to the cool-down area. Still working in non-contact drills or to the side are LB Devin Lloyd (hamstring), OT Will Richardson (ankle), OT Badara Traore (hamstring) and cornerback Darious Williams (shoulder).

Jags laud Episcopal experience

The Jaguars held their final training camp practice on Thursday at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville's Knight Campus. It was the 13th of 14 practices at the facility, which was made available to the Jaguars because their practice fields are being renovated as part of the construction of the Miller Electric Center.

Four busloads of staff, coaches and players had to used each day from TIAA Bank Field to the campus. Equipment had to be brought in each day. Nearly 200,000 square feet of sod was laid. Temporary structures were built.

And everything came off like clockwork, according to the Jaguars.

"My hat's off to Episcopal for allowing us to come out here," Jags coach Doug Pederson said. "Really, a lot of work and a lot of man hours went into getting us over here, from the busses every day to just the timing of everything. I just can't say enough good things about this situation. It's been really good and we were fortunate enough to have it."

"I thought it was awesome," said Jaguars director of operations Hamzah Ahmad. "It was a really good experience for everybody and didn't really take away from any of our operations. It was cool that everyone came together, from the Jaguars and the Episcopal community."

Offense notes

• On a light day with no contact that stressed game-planning for Saturday's home game against Pittsburgh (7 p.m., FOX), the offense still looked sharper than a ragged performance the day before. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was a combined 16 of 23 during team periods and during a red-zone period, threw TD passes for Christian Kirk and Evan Engram.

• Running back James Robinson had a few carries in team periods but is still wearing the red non-contact mesh jersey and Pederson said Robinson won't play against the Steelers.

• Two of the better plays were a drill in which Pederson spread out the offensive and defensive players with the ball on the 4, and on the whistle both units had to get on the line of scrimmage to simulate getting a last-second play off. Both plays ended in touchdown passes, from Lawrence to Engram and C.J. Beathard to tight end Gerrit Prince.

• The best catch of the day was Marvin Jones going high to snare a Lawrence pass. Tight end Dan Arnold had another leaping catch.

• Beathard lobbed a TD pass to Marvin Hall in the corner of the end zone, beating cornerback Shaq Griffin in one-on-one coverage.

Defense notes

• Outside linebacker Josh Allen intercepted a Beathard pass that was tipped at the line by defensive end Arden Key.

• Safety Andre Cisco intercepted Lawrence at the back of the end zone during a red-zone period.

• Cornerback Chris Claybrooks nearly had his second interception in two days, but a Beathard pass went through his hands.

• Cornerback Tyson Campell also dropped a potential pick, after a Beathard pass went through Hall's hands.

• Safety Rayshawn Jenkins was running with the second team, with Cisco and Andrew Wingard with the first team.

Special teams notes

• Kicker Ryan Santoso continues to justify the faith the coaches had in him by cutting Elliott Fry on Monday, making all six of his field-goal attempts in special teams and offensive periods. Since Fry was cut, Santoso has made 15 of 16 kicks in practice.
