Jahan Dotson not participating in Senior Bowl
Senior Bowl week is underway in Mobile, Alabama and the players participating in the biggest all-star showcase on the NFL draft circuit have been weighed and measured as the big week begins for some of college football’s biggest draft hopefuls. Among those not taking part in the Senior Bowl festivities this week will be Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson.
Dotson was notably missing from an updated roster sheet distributed to media members a few days ago, and his absence from the weigh-ins and measurements today confirmed the situation for Penn State’s leading receiver, considered by many to be among the top wide receiver prospects in the 2022 NFL Draft pool.

Why Dotson is not attending the Senior Bowl is unconfirmed, although it stands to reason he may not really need to be in attendance this week to show what he can do. The past couple of years have put together plenty of footage of what Dotson is capable of doing, and one could argue his stock really cannot go much higher than what it may be right now regardless of what could have happened in the Senior Bowl.
Dotson will still be one of the top prospects to keep an eye on at the NFL scouting combine. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see just how much of the combine Dotson chooses to participate in as well. There are some events and activities some of the nation’s top prospects at various positions may not wish to participate in.
There are still plenty of Penn State players taking part in the Senior Bowl, however, so Nittany Lion fans will have plenty to pay attention to all week down in Mobile.
