Jalen Barr’s 19 points leads Flagler to road win at North Georgia
Jalen Barr had a game-high 19 points as Flagler College topped North Georgia 67-53 in a Peach Belt Conference game on Monday night in Dahlonega, Georgia.
Barr scored 13 in the second half, including 3 of 3 from the free throw line, for Flagler (13-3, 6-1 Peach Belt), which won its third straight. Flagler made all 12 free throw attempts.
"That was as focused as I have seen our team play," said head coach Chad Warner. "I think that is in direct proportion to the respect we have for North Georgia."

Barr also had a game-high eight rebounds and added three steals. Flagler senior Jaizec Lottie, the Peach Belt Conference leading scorer with 21.6 points per game, scored 14 with six rebounds. Senior Derrick Ellis Jr. scored 11 and Kohl Roberts contributed 11 points, six rebounds and a season-high two blocks in 16 minutes off the bench.
North Georgia (11-5, 4-3 PBC) had its four-game winning streak come to an end. The Nighthawks were led by junior Malik Hardy with 14 points, all coming in the second half. Freshman Frank Champion, fifth in the conference in scoring at 16.8 point per game, was held to 12. Senior Zach Brown came off the bench to score 10
Flagler swept the two-game series against North Georgia for the first time since the 2018-19 season.
